MAM (Memorial Assistance Ministries), located in the Spring Branch community of Houston, Texas, has an immediate need for a part-time Development Specialist. Our ideal candidate is a person who is looking to work 20-25 hours per week and finds joy in working in a culture of philanthropy and providing for community needs.
The Development Specialist is responsible for the donor gift acknowledgement process and supporting the internal efforts of the fund development department. The position provides gift administration and a variety of general and specific office functions centering on the activities of the Fund Development Team.

Excellent organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
Professional oral and written communication
Ability to collaborate
Proficient in MS Office in Outlook, Word, and Excel, using tables, formulas, etc
Ability to create donor correspondence utilizing mail merges, appropriate letter formats, etc
Strong administrative and clerical skills
Strong command of the English written language
Experience working with donor database software, preferably Donor Perfect
Financial and statistical record-keeping techniques
Reliable use of a smartphone
Required - High school graduate with three years of experience in a general office environment with expansive computer usage required
Successful candidates will be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background screen, as well as prove their qualifications through skills testing which align with the essential requirements of this position.
