Summary

Drives MAM truck for donation pickups as scheduled while presenting a positive image of MAM in the community. The driver must be able to make judgment decisions in the field regarding whether or not to accept donations.

Responsibilities:

Duties include:

• Drives MAM truck and  picks up donations as scheduled and according to pick up protocols.

• Assists in unloading furniture in a safe manner.

• Takes recycling on a regular basis.

• ·All other tasks as requested by the Resale Store Manager or Floor Manager.

• Be able to turn down donations while demonstrating good customer service.

• The driver performs other duties as assigned including working in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods.

• Deliver furniture without damage.

• Willingness to please our customers and donors.

• Reliability

• Ability to move about, squat and lift as needed

• Knowledge of what is saleable and what is not

• Diplomacy- ability to graciously turn down donations that are not saleable

• Attention to detail

• Ability to treat customers, donors, volunteers in a      manner that demonstrates MAM’s commitment to a positive experience.

• Knowledgeable in store operations including register

• Valid Texas driving license

• Must have reliable use of a smartphone in order to be able to clock in and out when working off site

• Regularly required to talk or hear

• Regularly is required to stand for long  periods of time, walk, sit, use keyboard, handle or feel objects, tools,      or controls; and reach with hands and arms

• Required to have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

• Required to remain at their workstation for prolonged periods of time

Working Conditions/ Work Environment:

• Primary work location is a climate-controlled indoor warehouse, but regularly requires working outside in a variety of weather conditions such as cold, rainy, heat, etc.

• Flexibility for travel related to job requirements

• Provide own reliable transportation with proof of valid driver’s license and TX minimum requirements of auto insurance
