About
& We Serve Your City
Citizens Coffee & Catering began in Houston with a single restored 1948 farm truck and has grown into cafés, catering, events, and hospitality serving businesses, nonprofits, churches, schools, and families across the city.
Citizens is the social enterprise of We Serve Your City, a Houston nonprofit that funds hospitality workforce development, food rescue, and free meals for neighbors.
That means a purchase at this café does two things at once. A share of every sale directly supports MAM's mission. And the revenue Citizens generates funds training for people building careers in professional kitchens across Houston.
Beyond the café, Citizens caters — from a six-person office breakfast to weddings, fundraisers, and corporate events of a thousand guests and more. If you are planning something at MAM or anywhere in Houston, we would love to be part of it.

About MAM
Since 1983, Memorial Assistance Ministries (MAM Houston) has embraced the calling to love our neighbors as ourselves by partnering with hardworking Houstonians to build stable lives and hope-filled futures.
In a context where poverty is growing in the U.S., and nearly half of Houston’s families are working hard yet struggle to make ends meet, we must stand up to break this cycle. But it requires more than just money, it takes education, employment, supportive systems, and personal agency.
Born out of the community, for the community, MAM provides holistic economic mobility services throughout the year to help families gain long-term stability. MAM is a refuge and a springboard for our neighbors, from the most vulnerable to those searching for that open door, for that one opportunity to use their full potential and thrive. When people are given the tools, support, and encouragement to grow, it can be a foundation for something extraordinary.
At MAM Houston, we do what we do because we deeply believe that when everyone lives into their potential, we all benefit. A Houston where everyone can live a healthy, fulfilling life and contribute to the vibrancy of our community is possible, and we are working hard, shoulder to shoulder with our neighbors, donors, partners, and volunteers, to make it a reality.
