Employment Services Volunteers

Volunteers help adults seek out new jobs and improve their technical abilities. People often arrive in the computer lab feeling lost and overwhelmed by new pieces of technology. With a few kind words and simple instructions, volunteers help these same people feel confident about using a computer, developing a resume, going on job interviews, and maintaining employment.

Volunteer positions include:

  • Volunteer Job Coach

  • Computer Literacy Volunteer

  • Employment Certification Program Course Instructors

  • Employment Services Mentors

Skills or experience required:

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of internet usage

  • Patience and willingness to teach others
